Pizza Run - “Winter Wonderland”

December 19th, 2007 by Cliff

I decided after finishing my last exam ever on Monday, that I should follow it up with a run around Fredericton.  This would one of the last times for me to run around the city.  As you can see from the pictues, Fredericton has a lot of snow!   This time I remembered to bring my camera along.

The day was chilly (-21 with wind chill).  Having completed all my exams though was the best feeling in the world!  I just had to get out and do something!

Walking Bridge

In my head I wanted to show my favorite view of Fredericton.   The view was on the North side of the St. John river.  It showed the UNB campus which I think, it one of the best looking around.  It was only 7K to get there but when I got to the top and got my camera out…  the batteries were dead!  (After I got back I went on Ebay and bought 2 new batteries!

At this point I was a little frustrated because I wanted to show what how the weather had made it almost impossible to run.  The side walks were barely cleared so I had to run mostly in the street.

By the end of the run I was getting famished!  I told myself that a reward for the run was a slice (or 2!) of pizza.  Once I hit the 2nd hour of my run I knew I had earned it.  I got the zaa and then ran back to my place where I woofed it back!  Soooo good.

Done exams, good long run and some pizza, what could be better?!

Happpsy trainin!
