Yard Sale / Parlee Beach

Hey Folks,

Saturday was a huge step forward for my Duathlon funding.  My girlfriend’s family donated stuff for a yard sale in Fredericton.  All the proceeds from the sale went to me!  I am extremely fortunate to be surrounded by such great people!  The day went very well.  Buyers were out in droves from early morning and didn’t stop till lunch.  The rain also held off so a big thanks to Mother Nature as well! 

This weekend I was scheduled for Parlee Beach Olympic Duathlon.  Through the week I decided that it would be nice to support my girlfriend and brother in their races.  On race morning I was glad I chose to skip it!  It was freezing!  I was wearing my winter jacket.  The wind was also very harsh.  The triathloners had an especially hard time with the choppy ocean waters. Everyone who competed deserves the right to call themselves a Triathlete/Duathlete.  If you’re looking for a harder triathlon experience, try this one.

My brother placed first in his age group (12th overall) in the Olympic triathlon.  My girlfriend placed second in her age group (5th overall woman) in the Sprint.  Wicked race!
